My very dear friend, Nicole, just had her beautiful baby girl and I had the privilege of photographing her this morning. Nicole is one of those women that EVERYBODY just loves! She's makes you feel important- she is a faithful friend- always keeping in touch. I don't know how she can be such an amazing friend to so many- but somehow she does it. And here is her baby girl!!! Nicole, may she grow to be just like you. You are truly a woman who desires to please the Lord.
To the Flower Mart!!! It was so fun. We are studying plants and seeds and flowers so… I thought a fun field trip would be a jaunt down to the flower mart (a little selfish, I'll admit it). But the kids enjoyed it, too. They each got to pick out their own flowers and they were even able to see our police men at work! As we were leaving, about 20 – 30 police cars turned on their sirens and surrounded Pershing Square. We pulled over to the side of the street to let them all go by…. 4 of them drove up ONTO the sidewalks and countless others were surrounding the block. It was a little frightening, but the boys were loving it! I'll have to check the news to see what happened. Take a look at these beautiful flowers and if anyone can tell me what they are.. that would be great! Thanks.
Kennedy picked these gerbera daisies (almost my wedding flower)- pink, of course!
Cade picked these- I don't know what kind of flower this is, but it looks and smells wonderful! It almost has a citrus scent to it and the buds look like little green pumpkins. Anyone know?
And… my favorite flower of the day. I have no idea what it is (please help me find out) but I LOVE the way they look!
I Love homeschooling my kids (most of the time). I love having them home with me, I love teaching them new things, I love learning new things myself. Today was a fun homeschool day. We are doing a science unit called "seed mysteries." It's so fun! The boys and I really enjoyed the experiments this morning- kennedy liked the magnifying glass:)
A new photo of our kitchen since we painted. That's all for now. More later…
Wow. What a whirlwind. We spent 8 days in Ohio, came home to company for 4 days and jumped right into homeschooling the next day. Yikes! Never a dull moment here. In the midst of that, James & I got to go away overnight for our anniversary. 8 years! Wow. It feels like it's gone by quick. I sure do like that boy. Well, on with the photos… all from Ohio.
My cousin, Melanie, has always had the coolest toys! This gator was the perfect ride for the kids- she has a ton of beautiful land with views of the Ohio river all the way to the West Virginia side. Pretty incredible. The kids were all about the fishing. I think they went 3 different times over our 2 day visit.
Kennedy was not at all afraid of the worms or the fish. In fact, she tried to feed the fish while they were out of the water (just off the hook). She would hold the bread up to the fish-y mouth and say, "here you go, little fishy"
some bones the kids found on a walk with my dad.
More to come… I have to get to work!
