Can you guess which photo is Canyon & which one is Keagan?
I haven't really been feeling the "photo vibe" lately, with the pukiness and all. What? It's a word. It's pronounced "puh-you-key-ness" and it means, "that sickening, blah, i-think-i-need-to-throw-up-but-I can't-feeling" I had a major aversion to my computer, my camera and my coffee when I was pregnant with Keagan. So far, same thing. I'm also having a little hostility toward eggs- not sure why. Eggs are like my favorite thing to eat. I'd better get over that soon. TMI? Sorry, just journaling my friends.
So, since I'm not taking many photos and since Hallie is in Hawaii (no real reason to mention that, just a little shout out :) I thought I might take a little stroll down memory lane. It makes my heart sad, as Kennedy would say. Side note: she told me the other day, "mommy, when you say that to me it makes my heart sad" with the cutest little puppy dog eyes. This is what I had said to her, "Kennedy, you need to clean up your room. It's too messy." Oh boy. I've got some work to do with that girl.
Cade was only 2 years old in this photo. We were on our balcony at the Grand Californian at Disneyland. I would pay large amounts of money to go back and re-live some of the moments from 2004.
I know this picture isn't that great, but it reminds me of a few things. 1. I used to label my kids' sippy cups- I remember those sippy cups so well. Is it weird that a sippy cup makes me sad? 2. At one point, I wanted to invent a kids cup that would permenantly have their name on it- it wouldn't wash off in the dishwasher- is that sillY?
Cade & Isabel- 4th of July 2004. Look how little they are. We are about to celebrate Isabel's 7th birthday!!
This photo is blurry, but look how little Cara is! She is going to be in 2nd grade this fall! This photo stood out because she's playing with our little "Baby Hannah" doll. At this point in time, I only had boys (Cade & Canyon). Hannah was the only "girly" thing in my house & the girls always wanted to play with her. Hannah is the doll that goes "potty" and I have used her to potty train 3 of my 4 children with 100% success. Hopefully all goes well with Keagan.
I just thought this was a sweet picture. Jason Worsley with Acacia.
This photo is from one of our very favorite vacations- La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs. Cade's face still gets that red in the heat.
I think I'll have to finish this later. I'm tired. Hey, can anyone see my favicon in the url bar?
I just loaded a ton of new photos to my project 365 album on the right sidebar.
My annual Mother's Day photo in bed- right after the yummy breakfast they made for me. This year we had a little surprise for the kids… Baby #5 is on the way!! They were so excited and are ALL praying for a little girl 🙂
So… I'm supposed to be working on some paperwork right now, but instead I'm playing around in Photoshop and posting on my blog. I guess I shouldn't admit that here since my husband DOES read my blog, but he's so nice- I know he won't mind the few creative moments I've taken. He's the whole reason I'm able to blog on a Friday morning! You see, I've been feeling pretty crumby lately so he arranged to have Bethany (our oh. so. sweet. and WONDERFUL friend and employee) to watch the kids for me today so I could finish my paperwork in peace. He suggested I go to Starbucks, but … well, the color on a laptop just isn't the same as it is on my nice calibrated monitor here at home. I know that shouldn't matter since I'm just supposed to be working in MS Word- you don't really need spot-on color to work with black & white fonts, but….alas, I am procrastinating. Just one last post & then I'll start, I promise.
Kennedy was invited to a little Tea Party (no, not a political one) and OH MAN! now she wants to have her very own :) She turns 5 this year- in our house, that's a birthday party year. You get a party at 1, 5, 10 and 40 – that's it. saves money. saves mommy's sanity. Okay. I'm off to work.
