Transformation.

I only have 2 seconds to post, but some of you have been asking to see the new couch. I LOVE IT!  More words soon.

Melinda Cassol - Love it, love you!

February 20, 2011 - 1:00 pm

Abby - Love it! It looks perfect-you must be thrilled!!! Love the pic on the wall too-miss you guys.

February 23, 2011 - 2:10 pm

Katelyn - Love the yellow and grey! Matt and I are planning on doing yellow and grey in our Master bedroom. I adore your throw pillows!

February 26, 2011 - 10:21 am

jenny - Sweet. How do you keep your kids from having pillow fights with the throw pillows? Mine would throw them all on the floor and play pig pile every day until they ruined all the cushions and pillows.

February 27, 2011 - 2:36 am

emily - Well, Jenny, my 5 children are not allowed to touch the pillows or sit on the couch. We keep all our furniture wrapped in plastic so as not to allow any unwanted oils on the fabric. We also disapprove of all jumping, “pig piles” and giggling. It’s a great childhood. My children will surely rise up & bless me. 🙂
Seriously though- they haven’t even touched the pillows! Probably because we pile all of our “upstairs” pillows together and jump off the bed onto them.

Erica - Wow, thanks so much for leaving a comment, your blog is packed full of eye candy! Love the colors, love the couch, love the curtains! All that and 5 kids, my hats off to you! :o)

Tammy S - I LURVE the sectional AND the wall color! Where did you find the sectional and what is the name of the wall color if you don’t mind me asking:-) Love this blog…just stumbled upon it! Hugs.

Hallie G.

Not related to Kenny G (that I know of, anyway).  It’s her birthday today.

Happy Birthday Sweet Friend.  I like you a lot. You’re really nice. Very Selfless. A Great Gift Giver. Fashion Savvy. Joyful & Happy all the time. The Model Wife. A FUN Mommy. An Amazing Friend. I’m so blessed to have met you way back when roller blading was awesome.  Can you even imagine me on roller blades now? Or any other type of sporting paraphernalia ?  I hope you had a WONDERFUL day & I can’t wait to see you!!!

I can’t show you what I got her because I haven’t given it to her yet, but I can show you what she got me for my birthday (last August).  I told you she’s the BEST gift giver, right?

February 10, 2011 - 4:20 am

Melinda Cassol - I love Hallie! Everything you said is so true of her! Happy Birthday my dear friend Hallie!

February 10, 2011 - 3:36 pm

Hallie - I don’t know what to say. Ok, I can probably come up with something…thank you! You’re so nice. And no, you should never re-visit the roller blading era. Oh, and me and Kenny…we are tight!

February 10, 2011 - 8:25 pm

Sara - sweet post. It makes me think of the Michael W Smith song, “friends are friends forever…” 🙂 thought that was appropriate, with the roller blading comment.

I like the old pic of you two. And I love yellow and gray. 🙂

February 12, 2011 - 7:45 pm

jenny - I once dressed in drag with this girl. Can girls dress in drag? Well, if that’s what you call it, that’s what we did. It was pretty, let me tell you. I’ve never seen anyone look so much like men wearing dresses as we did that day. Sigh. Ah, the good old times!! Happy birthday!!!

Almost Before & After.

Minus the furniture which is still sitting in my garage… this is our house.  If you don’t remember (because it’s been over 2 months now) we had a leak in our kitchen that buckled our floors, that caused the removal of the ENTIRE floor and baseboards and appliances, that sent us away for a week, that, that, that… 🙂  It’s been a happy experience, seriously.  It’s taken a little longer than I would have liked, but we have the best insurance company ever.
This is the day we moved all the furniture into the garage. It was a little creepy.

And this is what it looks like today. Sorry for the glare- I only have 2 free minutes in my day and the light wasn’t right at that particular time 🙂

It looks like laminate in these pictures, but it’s not.  Tell me what you think. Unless you don’t like it… then I don’t want to know 🙂
